The Resolve 2 Run Race is right around the corner, it is a fundraiser that supports the Peardale Chicago Park FireFighters Association, Chicago Park PTA and the Chicago Park 4-H Club. It’s that time of the year again to give back to your community. We are teamed up with the Marine Corp Reserves of Nevada County. Our hope and goal is to have hundreds of new, unwrapped toys delivered to any fire station in the county for kids who are less fortunate. Please donate before December 15th and make a difference this Christmas. Remember you can drop off your donations at any of these fire stations: Ophir Hill Fire Station, Higgins Fire Station, Nevada County Consolidated, the Nevada City Fire Station, along with here at Peardale Chicago Park station 57.
This morning Nevada County sent out a strike team to the Kincade Fire in Sonoma County. The team is made up of engines from Peardale Chicago Park, Ophir Hill Fire, Rough and Ready Fire, Nevada City Fire and Nevada County Consolidated Fire.
Peardale Chicago Park Fire sent its type-6 engine, Patrol 57, out to the Briceburg Fire in Mariposa County early this morning. The engine is staffed with two firefighters and one engineer. The Patrol has teamed up with a strike team of type-6 engines from Kern County.
The first day of Free Residential Green Waste Disposal kicked off Saturday, May 4th, and was a smashing success. The program was so popular all disposal containers filled at six locations by midday on Saturday. The Nevada County Fairgrounds, Gate 8, is the only location that will be open tomorrow Sunday, May 5th.
Another successful Easter Egg Hunt at Orchard Springs Campground at Rollins Lake. Always great to see the smiles of all the kids as they ran around with the Easter Bunny. Happy Easter from all Peardale Chicago Park Fire!
